Sosthen Eugine Simiyu (Kenia)
I am Sosthen Eugine Simiyu, a committed humanist, peace ambassador, and grassroots change-maker, born and raised in Kenya. At 31 years of age, I serve both my family and community with conviction and compassion. I believe in the inherent dignity and value of every human life, and I have devoted myself to advancing these values across multiple platforms. I proudly submit my application to join the World Coordination Team and represent the African region at the Global Humanist level.
- Humanitarian Response & Relief Coordination:
Led food distribution during COVID-19 in 2020 supported by humanist leaders in Kenya, reaching hundreds of families.
Continues organizing essential support for vulnerable households and children.
- Peacebuilding & Community Safety:
Peace Ambassador under the Global Peace Foundation and youth representative in local security teams, focusing on mediation and peaceful coexistence.
- Child Welfare & Feeding Program:
Founded a feeding initiative supporting 20 orphaned children in slums with dreams of scaling the model across Africa.
